On 15–16 December 2025, a ROLE expert participated in the international conference “Freedom of Religion or Belief in War Zones”, organised by the Centre for Law and Religion at Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford. During the conference, the ROLE expert delivered a presentation on the challenges of preserving the historical and cultural heritage of indigenous peoples in situations of armed conflict, highlighting the legal and practical obstacles to safeguarding vulnerable communities and their cultural identity in war-affected regions.
