On 24 February 2026, one of the ROLE’s international law experts served as a judge at the Birmingham Regional Round of the 14th edition of the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition on the European Convention on Human Rights.

The event brought together law students from across Europe, who argued a case before a simulated bench of the European Court of Human Rights, acting as both applicants and respondent States. The competition offered participants a valuable opportunity to refine their advocacy skills and deepen their practical understanding of human rights law in a dynamic and engaging setting.
